All the Equipment You Need to Build the Ultimate Strength and Conditioning Gym

Conditioning GymWhen developing a gym, you have to consider a lot of things.

  • Space
  • Clientele
  • Budget
  • Workout flow
  • Goals
  • and more…

Our workouts typically involve some sort of foam roll, mobility work, warm ups, crawling, locomotion, SAQ, strength work and then conditioning, so we’ve broken the equipment list below into corresponding categories.  Hopefully this will give you some ideas on how to outfit your facility, add to your existing gym or simply create a wish list of items to buy in the future.

Ideally, your gym would have some mat space, rubber floor, some turf and some sort of concrete or block wall.  The mat space is perfect for mobility, foam roll, warm ups, tumbling, etc.  Rubber floor is ideal for weight lifting and other resistance work.  Turf gives you space to move around, run, sprint and to do other plyometrics and agility drills.  Concrete walls allow you to secure racks, pull up bars or similar…plus a solid wall is perfect for explosive med ball throws.
